In 2019, Texas WIC began the process of re-imagining their statewide clinics. They changed the paint, installed new carpet and made their lobbies more inviting by adding cozy chairs, toys to keep young children busy and photos of WIC families. But Texas WIC was also re-imaging how their employees engaged with their clients and Arrowhead was asked to create a lobby video that shows the essential elements of WIC hospitality in a documentary-driven format. The lobby video was incorporated into a web-based, new WIC employee training, Welcome to WIC.
The global rollout of the planetGOLD initiative relied on the creation of a wide range of visual communication products. Arrowhead’s design team crafted a unique art direction that would appeal to global audiences for this 2-minute animated short that explains how planetGOLD will improve the global supply of small-scale gold mining. Translated into French and Spanish.
In an effort to strengthen SNAP program integrity, Arrowhead produced a fraud prevention-focused video in English and Spanish. Using animation and motion graphics, the video shows SNAP and TANF applicants and recipients what fraud looks like, the penalties for fraud and explains the differences between the 2 types of public benefits, as well as how to use the Lone Star Card to receive their benefits.
Months before a vaccine for COVID existed, Arrowhead created a series of animated 30-second commercials in English and Spanish for the Texas Medical Association about the importance of getting vaccinated. We developed a unique art direction for the spots in order to appeal to a skeptical audience. “Fortress” and “Powerful Defense” re-enforce the importance of vaccines to keep the Texas economy moving forward.
The Smiles for Moms and Babies Program brings important oral health information to low-income pregnant women and new moms and their babies. In 2019, Arrowhead was asked to produce a training video for new moms, in English and Spanish, about the importance of taking their baby to the dentist by baby’s first birthday.
Immerse yourself in the natural wonders of Texas through the eyes of its indigenous people. Arrowhead was commissioned by the Bullock Texas State History Museum to produce a large-scale projection contemplative video experience that takes visitors on a travel through time to pre-1821 Texas. The first-floor feature captures the majestic, unchanged landscapes of seven Texas geographic regions, and the sounds of the languages spoken by the American Indian Tribes and European colonials who called Texas home in that era as part of the museum’s “The Story of Us.”
We produced this custom short film to play at an event inside the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History for an audience of 500 global environmental leaders. The centerpiece of the museum is a 50-ton elephant on display, which we cleverly brought to life through the voice of the “elephant in the room” expressing his opinion about the planet’s serious environmental problems.
