In 2019, Texas WIC began the process of re-imagining their statewide clinics. They changed the paint, installed new carpet and made their lobbies more inviting by adding cozy chairs, toys to keep young children busy and photos of WIC families.
But Texas WIC was also re-imaging how their employees engaged with their clients and Arrowhead was asked to create a lobby video that shows the essential elements of WIC hospitality in a documentary-driven format. The lobby video was incorporated into a web- based, new WIC employee training, Welcome to WIC. The resulting film and training captured honest and authentic stories from both WIC staff and clients to create an informative and emotional film.
Especially relevant to this project, Arrowhead utilized a unique technique to capture user- generated content from WIC clinics across the state. A customized iPhone was sent to 20 clinics with a script and directions for recording. Given the current COVID-19 landscape, this may be a technique that will be considered for content necessary for the trainings and lobby video.
